Plagiarism Policy
JCIP strictly prohibits plagiarism in any form and is committed to maintaining academic integrity.
Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, or data without proper citation
- Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own published work without acknowledgment)
- Paraphrasing without attribution
Screening Process:
All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software.
Similarity Threshold:
- Acceptable similarity index: maximum 20% (excluding references and common phrases)
- Any manuscript exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author or rejected
Actions for Plagiarism:
If plagiarism is detected:
- Before publication: manuscript will be rejected
- After publication: article may be retracted
Serious ethical violations may result in notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions.
